Cloud Cost

The Cloud Cost widget group provides operational and analytical views of cloud spending collected from the configured cloud providers.

These widgets help users monitor trends, breakdowns, forecasts, and anomalies in cloud costs.
Unlike the Analytical Accounting widgets, which display costs according to user-defined Cost Views, Cloud Cost widgets focus on direct analysis of the imported billing data.

Cloud cost data is collected from the cloud providers configured in the Cloud Cost Registration section.
The widgets in this group analyze the imported billing data directly.

For cost analysis based on a customer-defined accounting structure, see the Analytical Accounting widgets and the Cost Views configuration.

Cost Anomalies

This widget consists of two main views.

The first view shows a list of reports representing the various cost anomalies automatically identified by XAutomata.

  • Total Peaks: It is recognized if new cost centers are impacting total spending abnormally.
  • Fraud Protection: Using a time window of 3 months is established the behaviour of a cost centre and every 4 hours is verified if it exceed the expected expense.
  • Forgotten: A cost that is constantly increasing over time without any fluctuation over the previous 3 months.
